Sysmatch bets on the future of its team

How to maintain healthy levels of serotonin, oxytocin, dopamine and endorphin - the well-known quartet of happiness. This is the modern question presented to new organizations.
This state of satisfaction cannot be found «just around the corner». You have to encourage working environments with high levels of trust and, above all, respect, making employees feel free to express what they think and what they feel.
It may seem irrelevant, but most professionals do not have proper awareness of the importance of these four hormones in life. Endocrinologists and neuroscientists have joined a study about happiness as a biological process, seeking to ascertain in physical terms what causes this state, both personally and professionally. The truth is that there are small gestures or attitudes that, if practiced daily, can be truly transformational in terms of the integration of happiness in our routine.
We all know that regular physical exercise has mental and behavioural benefits, but another very simple and powerful exercise, often overlooked, is smiling. The latest international studies have identified some of the reasons why smiling is good for our health: it prevents diseases, promotes social coexistence, increases longevity, strengthens the immune system, stimulates the brain and concentration, liberates it, relieves stress and burns calories. Happy people at work aspire to be more productive and effective. Anticipating and expecting a smile, as well as maintaining a sense of happiness in a working day are some proposals that will surely improve our day.
Organization, however, has a great importance in the degree of happiness of your collaborators, and its collaboration is essential when it provides a dynamic that creates confidence, increases intimacy and builds healthy relationships. In places where a more informal culture is experienced, happiness is proven to be enhanced when a handshake is exchanged for a hug. Another interesting practice is creating a culture of acknowledgement and celebration; where above average levels of happiness are reached and accessible to any organization. Celebrating the company´s anniversary with its teams, praising a collaborator for the development of a certain task, providing a good environment, giving a day off or some other small gift on the birthday of each collaborator, these are some incentives that will stimulate internal satisfaction, generating a culture of acknowledgement, motivation and talent retention. The application of certain dynamics in a work routine will make collaborators feel integrated, confident and important, enhancing their self-esteem and confidence levels, something that any organization wants to have.
There are small actions that trigger a very significant impact on our well-being, self-confidence and self-esteem. Some easy to incorporate daily suggestions: eat out at least once a week, have a break to relax, catch some sun, plan your day, manage your stress, sleep well, exercise, dance, sing, do things that give you a real sense of happiness.
The performance to attain goals and objectives is fully associated with a collaborator’s motivation, and it can imply more or less involvement in a task, one of the current concerns in an organizations’ universe. Being able to divide larger goals into smaller steps creates a feeling of reaching smaller goals, bringing us closer to the final stretch of the initial goal, gaining greater confidence and motivation, which consequently increases performance and productivity.
Another important pillar is enabling collaborators to grow within the organization. A career progression system presupposes an increase in the motivation of collaborators, along with the fact that they know where they stand and how far they can go, increasing their safety and security. Creating this system sets out to achieve two great objectives:
- # 1 - To guide collaborators towards achieving their objectives, creating proximity through an informal culture and encouraging constant feedback.
- # 2 - To provide effective support for personal and professional development, maintaining a good line of succession, designed for future growth possibilities, privileging internal recruitment and valuing the company´s own resources.
The examples referenced above are certainly achievable, as long as there is willingness to do so and their recurring practice will have a reasonable impact on the happiness of collaborators. Happiness will not come by itself; these strategies will only work if we create routines and recurring habits.
There is a saying I frequently use: people relate and do business with people they like. Who does not prefer to relate themselves with happy people? Doing what you love is the first step to be happy. If you do not plan your life, someone else will plan it for you.
And since having success in fostering a culture of creativity and innovation at Sysmatch also depends on our teams, the company reiterates its thanks to all those who contribute to our continued progress. Through daily commitment to the work they develop, through an ambition for new goals and challenges, through an undeniable passion for technology, which translates into new ways of fulfilling the needs of all clients seeking a value added reality for their business.
